False job offers – Scam attempts

20 January 2026

We have recently been informed of phishing attempts carried out fraudulently in the name of our company (DaJobs, or our former name Daoust) via various channels: email, text messages, social media, and WhatsApp.

Job seekers have been contacted via private messages after posting their resumes on social media, and have been offered fake job opportunities. In these messages, fraudsters ask candidates to send their personal and financial information (copy of ID card, credit card, etc.). These messages do not come from our company !

We remind you that our company’s email addresses only end with ….@dajobs.be and never with …@outlook/gmail.com, such as daoustliège@gmail.com, etc.

How can you recognize a phishing attempt?

The contact channel

  • DaJobs only contacts you via official channels
  • Be wary of messages from anonymous, private, or unidentifiable accounts

The email address

DaJobs emails always end with:

  • @dajobs.be
  • @dahome.be (for service voucher jobs)

We never use Gmail/Outlook/etc. addresses.

The content of the offer

Our company only shares links to offers published on its own website and never redirects to unknown external platforms.

What to do if you encounter an attempted scam?

Never pay

  • A temporary employment agency never charges candidates for its services
  • DaJobs will never ask you for money to apply for a job

Never disclose your personal data

Do not share any sensitive information via email, text message, social media, or instant messaging:

  • phone number
  • bank account number
  • social security number
  • copy of your ID card
  • copy of a credit card

DaJobs has secure tools for transmitting this type of information.

Block and report

  • Block and report the fraudulent number or account (WhatsApp, social media, etc.).
  • Notify the platform concerned/Safeonweb to help stop fraudsters.
  • If the fraudster is posing as DaJobs (formerly Daoust):
    • contact us immediately
    • send us a screenshot of the message
    • keep as much evidence as possible

What should you do if you have shared sensitive information?

  • File a complaint with the police and please keep us informed.
  • If necessary, block your credit card via CardStop.
